Scope of Services
Dr. Anderson's residency training included training in the care of people of all ages, including prenatal and obstetric care, pediatrics, gynecology, and geriatrics. Her area of interest is in gynecology and women's care. We plan to offer comprehensive non-surgical gynecologic care, including endometrial and cervical biopsies, contraceptive counseling, and prenatal care. Dr. Anderson does not currently have privileges to perform labor and delivery services; therefore, late third trimester care for pregnancy would need to be provided by an obstetrician or other physician in referral.
Pediatrics is another area of interest for the staff at Mount Washington Family Medicine, and we plan to offer the full range of routine childhood immunizations in addition to routine school and sports physicals. Also, Dr. Anderson has privileges for newborn nursery care at Norton Suburban and Baptist East Hospitals.
Due to family commitments and the distance from local hospitals, the doctor will not be providing in-patient hospital care. However, she has worked out an agreement with Drs. James Frazier and Patrick Jarvis to serve as hospitalists for the practice. Any patient from Mount Washington Family Medicine who is admitted to Jewish Hospital or Norton Hospital (downtown) will be under their care. Dr. Anderson holds both Dr. Frazier and Dr. Jarvis in the highest esteem, and they are committed to keeping her up to date on every aspect of a patient's progress while in the hospital.
